Kseniia Kravchenko, PhD
Field Ecologist
Kseniia specializes in biodiversity conservation and the effects of climate change and urbanization on wildlife. Her research integrates field data with mechanistic niche modeling, incorporating physiological parameters to analyze species' responses to environmental changes and human-induced pressures.
With expertise in stable isotope analysis, hibernation physiology, and community dynamics, she works across temperate and tropical ecosystems. By applying insights from behavioral ecology and conservation biology, she assesses wildlife resilience in changing environments.
Additionally, she studies the interactions between wildlife and renewable energy infrastructure, particularly the effects of wind power on bat migration and habitat use. Through collaborations with academic institutions, NGOs, and private organizations, she contributes to the development of computational tools and conservation strategies to address emerging environmental challenges.
