Our Skillset

Simulation Modelling & Data Science

A large part of our work leads to the production of bespoke mechanistic simulation models (esp. Agent-based and Systems Dynamics models) to gain understanding of real-life systems. We also develop new Data Science and Simulation methodologies (e.g. Hybrid Modelling paradigms to increase model accuracy).

Data Acquisition Technologies & Artifical Intelligence (AI)

Our group designs novel acquisition technologies for the observation of challenging and cryptic phenomena. This often includes the deployment of AI-powered embedded systems for autonomous monitoring.

Field Research

The hallmark of NEXUS::CSR as an engineering team lies in its ability to engage in field research. Our expertise covering multiple disciplines provides us with in-house expert knowledge and fieldwork capabilities. We thereby control the whole process from data acquisition to computational analysis.

Environmental Sciences

As a Complex Systems lab, our domains of application are diverse and span many disciplines. Yet, the study of environmental systems, esp. ecological and social aspects, is a mjor pillar of our work.
